Meet Kenesha, DSW, LMFT

Grief Therapist in Riverside, CA

Virtual and In-Person therapy throughout California

Hi, I’m Kenesha. I specialize in helping children and adults who feel overwhelmed, emotionally numb, or unsure how to move forward after loss. I provide a compassionate space to understand grief, process difficult emotions, and learn practical ways to navigate life after loss.

This work is personal to me. At a young age, I became a military widow. Like many people, I thought grief meant crying it out and eventually “moving on.” I did not understand grief triggers or how deeply loss could affect everyday life.

I believe in a world where people are given the space to grieve without timelines or expectations. Healing does not mean forgetting or “getting over” your loss. It means learning how to carry it differently while making room for hope, connection, and joy.

You do not have to choose between remembering and moving forward. There is room for both.

Therapy Services

  • Grief Therapy

Grief is deeply personal, and you do not have to navigate it alone. I provide a compassionate, culturally responsive space where you can honor your loss, process difficult emotions, and move toward healing at your own pace without pressure to “move on” or leave your loved one’s memory behind.

  • Trauma Therapy

Trauma can affect how you feel, connect, and move through the world but it does not define you. I provide a compassionate, culturally responsive space to process your experiences, rebuild a sense of safety, and move toward healing at a pace that feels right for you.

  • Military Therapy Services

I provide compassionate, culturally responsive therapy for military families and military widows navigating grief, deployment, transition, and the unique challenges of military life. Together, we honor your experiences, strengthen resilience, and create space for healing without rushing your journey.

  • Anxiety Therapy

Living with anxiety, OCD, or depression is exhausting, but healing doesn't have to be. Together, we'll create a safe, supportive space to understand what you're carrying and build a path toward real, lasting relief.

  • Couples Therapy

I provide a compassionate, inclusive space where couples can communicate openly, understand recurring patterns, and rebuild trust and connection. Together, we’ll develop practical tools that honor each partner’s voice, needs, and lived experiences.

  • Family Therapy

I provide a compassionate, culturally responsive space where children, teens, and families feel heard, understood, and supported.
